Serial


In the first episode, a man walked down a road.
	Hook like that...  How could I resist?
Second show rolled around, the man walked into a town.
	Said to myself:  Who thought up that twist?
Came time, the third week, I was glued to my seat,
	Wondering what in the world they'll think of next.
Man went into a store, met a woman by the out door.
	I thought:  That's amazing... or maybe I'm just undersext.
Episode number four, they went together to the store.
	Then the movies, then bowling, then tai chi.
Episode number five, they were planning out their lives:
	First the wedding, the honeymoon, babies 1-2-3.
By the sixth or seventh show, I thought I was starting to know
	Everything there was to know about these two.
Thought I was witty and I was wise, but still I kept being surprised
	By the eloquent and crazy things they'd do.
In the eighth episode, a man walked down the road.
	Said to myself:  I wonder who he might meet?
When the ninth show rolled around, the woman walked out of town
	With the new man, left the first man on the street.
New ways to tell old stories – embellishing the allegories
	In the details and the way the deal goes down.
In episode number ten, it starts all over again
	With a man and a road and a town.
